Walt Disney World Marathon Additional Details:
Running through four theme parks before they open to the public is an experience unlike any other marathon, with Disney characters stationed along the course for photos and live entertainment keeping energy high mile after mile. Aid stations appear every two to three miles with water, Powerade, and energy gels, plus a dedicated food stop near mile 10, nine water stations total, and misting areas to help runners cool off in Florida’s early-morning humidity. Each race of Marathon Weekend gets its own themed finisher medal, with the full marathon’s design pairing Mickey and Minnie for the 26.2-mile distance. Beyond the finish line, a family reunion area offers character meet-and-greets, recovery snacks, and hydration, letting runners celebrate with family before heading back into the parks for the rest of the weekend’s festivities.
