Hallucination 100 Description

Hallucination 100, the headline event of the Run Woodstock festival, sends runners around six laps of a rugged 16.6-mile loop through the Pinckney Recreation Area’s Potawatomi Trail, one of Michigan’s most technical singletrack courses. Set at a peace-and-music-themed campground near Gregory, the race blends serious mileage with a laid-back festival vibe — camping, live music, and fellow runners sharing the same loop all weekend. As the 4th leg of the Midwest Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and a Western States qualifier, Hallucination 100 draws a groovy but seriously fit crowd chasing 100 miles within a 30-hour cutoff.

Always check the official race website for the most accurate and up-to-date race information and logistics.

Hallucination 100 Additional Details:

Runners who fall off 100-mile pace get automatically switched to the 100K after completing four loops in under 20 hours, so the race always rewards forward progress even on a rough day. Aid stations appear every 3 to 5 miles with hot food at the main Hog Farm and Food for Love stations, plus salty snacks, gels, and Coke everywhere — just bring your own cup, since it’s a cupless race throughout. Pacers may join after the second loop, one at a time, and get a bib and weekend pass of their own. Because the course loops back through the Woodstock Camp so often, most runners skip a dedicated crew entirely and lean on the hundreds of fellow entrants and volunteer ‘Roadies’ cheering from the sidelines instead.
