Los Angeles Marathon Description

The Los Angeles Marathon is a Boston qualifying, point-to-point race known as “Stadium to the Stars,” starting at Dodger Stadium and finishing in Century City. The net-downhill course winds through some of LA’s most iconic neighborhoods, including Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills, offering a true tour of the city’s landmarks and star-studded streets. Rolling hills add character along the way without overwhelming the net elevation drop. A charity half marathon runs the same morning from Dodger Stadium, making race weekend a celebration of Los Angeles at its most iconic.

Los Angeles Marathon Additional Details:

Nineteen aid stations line the LA Marathon course, plus misting stations in the later miles to help runners cope with a race that can heat up fast under the Southern California sun, backed by nine dedicated medical stations along the way. The race has a soft spot for anyone who doesn’t quite make it the full 26.2: runners who reach mile 18 still walk away with a finisher medal, a policy few other marathons offer. At the Finish Festival in Century City, finishers can get their medal engraved on the spot, grab a seat on a double-decker bus, and unwind at a beer garden while a DJ keeps the celebration going into the afternoon. It’s a finish line experience built for lingering, not just collecting a medal and leaving.
