What This Race Counts Toward:
Cascade Crest 100 Description
Cascade Crest 100 is a rugged, clockwise loop through Washington’s Cascade Mountains, starting and finishing at the Easton Fire Station each July. Runners climb more than 23,000 feet across the Wenatchee and Snoqualmie-Mt Baker National Forests, spending roughly 30 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail and passing through the 2.3-mile Snoqualmie Pass Tunnel. One of the sport’s classic mountain hundreds, it doubles as a Western States 100 qualifier and carries UTMB Index status, drawing a small, tight-knit field back to Easton year after year.

Cascade Crest 100 Additional Details:
Cascade Crest runs on volunteer power: every entrant completes 8 hours of trail work before race day, and a dedicated crew of HAM radio operators keeps communications flowing between the course’s 15 full and 3 water-only aid stations. Crew access is limited on several remote stretches, so runners lean on drop bags and self-sufficiency between checkpoints. The race has built a genuine community around Easton, with locals and past finishers turning out to cheer runners home at the fire station with the traditional ‘Welcome back to Easton’ call. Come prepared for big temperature swings between sunny mountain afternoons and cold overnight hours on the PCT, and expect a low-key, old-school ultrarunning atmosphere rather than a big-production race weekend.
