Jackson Hole Marathon Description

The Jackson Hole Marathon starts on Center Street near the Town Square in downtown Jackson and heads west into Wilson before following the pathway toward the Grand Tetons, finishing at Teton Village. The Boston-qualifying, point-to-point course runs at roughly 6,300 feet of altitude, with rolling hills and sweeping Teton Range views throughout. The Hole Half Marathon shares the same finish for a shorter, still-scenic option. Pace groups help runners of every level adjust to the thin mountain air on one of the most beautiful courses in the country.

Always check the official race website for the most accurate and up-to-date race information and logistics.

Jackson Hole Marathon Additional Details:

Finisher medals here rotate designs each year but consistently impress, past editions have featured a bear print pressed into the metal and other wildlife and mountain motifs that runners hang onto as keepsakes. One quirk worth knowing: this is a paperless race, so bring your own reusable cup, aid stations every two miles keep it filled with water, Gatorade, gels, candy, and electrolytes. The most talked-about stop comes at mile 25, where a beer table waits for runners who want one last boost before the finish. At Teton Village, the post-race scene settles into refreshments and easy camaraderie among finishers, with the Teton Range as a backdrop, a fitting reward for what feels like a true wilderness running adventure.
